FFBJ believes the root of a problem must be tackled in a fair and transparent way and as such aims to quicken the pace of change by using its activities as a platform to influence public policy.

In 2003 Facilitators for a Better Jamaica (FFBJ) was formed as a non-profit, independent think tank & lobby group that specialises in being an effective voice with a mandate to speak up for Jamaica and Jamaicans' interest in the United Kingdom and internationally, thereby bridging the gap and creating strategic partnerships with Jamaicans overseas and at home.

To achieve this, FFBJ conducts various Forums and Networking events where participants are given the opportunity to air their concerns which are then relayed to the relevant personnel. FFBJ also acts as a conduit by facilitating introductions to professionals in the UK & Internationally in order to assist in particular needs.

Since then we have varied lobbying projects example the Jamaican teacherís plight in London in getting them a fair deal where we supported the NUT and varied organisations which was a success.

In relation to Jamaica FFBJ will be focusing on establishing strategic partnerships with Jamaica civic and private sector organisations looking at the following:

  • Lobbying
  • Education
  • Events
  • Partnership
  • Programs
  • Public Outreach
